The flint-faced church sits just back from the village street in Kessingland, a quiet Suffolk coastal spot east of Lowestoft. St Edmund's has that solid, no-nonsense look you get from Norfolk and Suffolk churches - proper medieval work with a round tower that's seen seven centuries of North Sea gales. Inside, the space feels genuinely lived-in rather than museum-like, which makes a change.
