The church sits right on the River Severn's bend near Atcham, a Saxon structure that's survived over 1,300 years of English weather and politics. St Eata's is small, honestly - you're not talking about a cathedral experience here - but that's rather the point. Inside, it's all medieval stonework and proper quiet, the kind of place where you can actually hear yourself think.

What makes it worth the visit is the setting more than anything else. The churchyard runs down to the water's edge, and on a decent day you get decent views across the valley. The church itself dates back to around 680 AD, which is the sort of age that tends to stop you in your tracks when you're standing in front of it.
