This is proper competitive shooting territory - smallbore rifles, indoor ranges, the sort of place where people turn up with cases and spend hours perfecting their technique. It's not a tourist attraction in the conventional sense, but if you shoot or want to learn, it's worth knowing about.

Visiting as a casual observer won't get you far - you'll need to be a member or have arranged coaching to access the ranges. The club takes its sport seriously, which means safety protocols are tight and visitors need to fit into that structure. That said, if you're a shooter, this is the real deal. The facilities are proper, the standard is high, and you'll find yourself among people who actually know what they're doing.

Do come if you want to join a club with serious credentials. Shrivenham itself is fairly remote on the Oxfordshire downs - Faringdon is the nearest proper town at a few miles off. If you're basing yourself at Faringdon Grange holiday park and happen to shoot, it's a worthwhile detour. Otherwise, it's skippable.
