Shobdon Arches

Three red sandstone arches stand alone in a field near Hereford, looking rather like they've been abandoned mid-thought. They're all that remains of Shobdon Church, dismantled in the 18th century when a new church was built nearby - a decision that seems barking mad now, but there you are. The arches are Gothic, ornate, and genuinely striking against the Herefordshire countryside.
