Sevington Covert

The woodland around Sevington Covert near Chippenham is proper walking territory - mature trees, decent paths, and the kind of quiet you don't often find this close to town. It's not a manicured visitor attraction with facilities or a visitor centre, so manage your expectations accordingly. What you get instead is straightforward woodland wandering through a working forest that feels genuinely separated from the housing and industrial estates nearby.
