There are aromatic specimens everywhere, and gravel paths that crunch underfoot. It's genuinely engaging stuff, the kind of place where you find yourself stopping to run your fingers along leaves or crush mint between your palms. Kids absolutely love this, especially younger ones who tire quickly of "just walking round a garden." Adults with sensory sensitivities often find it calming rather than overstimulating.

The garden works brilliantly as a halfway point in a Norfolk or Suffolk park holiday. If you're based at Swallows Field Glamping Pods or Rushbanks Farm, it's close enough for a morning or afternoon visit without eating into travel time. Allow a solid hour, maybe ninety minutes if you've got children who want to explore properly. Don't rush it - the whole appeal is the slowness of the experience.

One word of warning: it's absolutely not the place to visit on a scorching summer afternoon when you want somewhere shaded and cool. Spring and autumn are brilliant. Late spring especially, when everything's in growth.
