The place sprawls across a fair bit of space, so you won't feel cramped even during peak season, though going on a weekday morning definitely beats fighting the crowds.

Families with younger kids will get the most mileage out of it. Toddlers have their own shallow areas, whilst older children tear around the flumes and wave pool like they own the place. Teenagers might find it a touch tame compared to Alton Towers, but the lazy river and hot tubs appeal to anyone wanting a more relaxed afternoon. Adults keen on proper swimming can actually lap-swim in designated times too.

It's a paid attraction - bring your wallet - and realistically you'll want at least three to four hours to do it justice. Peak times are school holidays and weekends; summer can be rammed.
