Rothesay Marina

The waterfront at Rothesay Marina is where you'll find the working heart of this seaside town. Fishing boats jostle alongside leisure yachts, and the whole place has that proper working atmosphere - you're not looking at a sanitised attraction, but an actual harbour that people depend on. The marina stretches along the seafront with good views across the Firth of Clyde towards the Scottish mainland.

It's the kind of place that rewards a slow walk rather than a quick visit. The pontoons are accessible if you want to get close to the boats, and there's something genuinely satisfying about watching the water traffic come and go. On a decent day, you can see right across to Dunoon on the far shore.
