Putting Green

The Putting Green sits right on Dunoon's seafront, a proper old-school affair that's been entertaining families for decades. It's basically what it says - a manicured nine-hole course where you can test your aim with a putter and ball, the kind of thing that sounds daft until you're actually there and genuinely frustrated by a sloping fairway.

This is solidly a casual family stop rather than a serious golfing experience. Kids aged five to twelve tend to get the most out of it, though I've seen competitive adults take it far too seriously. You're looking at thirty to forty minutes if you're not dawdling, less if the place is quiet. The seafront location is the real draw - there's something quite nice about the Clyde views while you're lining up shots, and it's the sort of thing you can knock off between other activities without eating up your whole afternoon.

It's close enough to Beach House Pods that you could easily slot it in as part of a broader day round Dunoon - grab lunch in town, do the putting green, maybe walk along the front. Whether you'll find it thrilling depends entirely on your tolerance for miniature golf. It's not free, and facilities can be a bit weather-dependent, but for a quick seaside diversion with the family, it works. Just don't expect anything fancy.
