The training ground where Preston North End's players actually work is tucked away on the edge of town, and unless you've got serious football in your blood, there's not much to see from the outside. It's a working facility, not a museum or stadium tour operation. You won't be wandering about the pitches or getting close looks at the squad - this is where they train, not where fans are particularly welcome to wander.

That said, if you're genuinely interested in professional football operations, it's worth driving past to see the place where the club's talent gets developed. The complex itself is fairly modern and well-maintained, the kind of setup you'd expect from a Football League outfit. Die-hard fans or people with a specific interest in how football clubs operate might find it interesting to know where their team trains.

For families or casual holidaymakers staying at Smithills View or Brylea - both within a mile - it's probably not worth a special trip. Your time would be better spent in Preston town centre itself or at one of the larger parks like Ribby Hall Village further out. If you're already in the area and can't get a stadium tour at Deepdale, this won't scratch the itch. The best approach is to ask at your caravan park if they can arrange any visits or tours - sometimes local facilities do open to groups, but you'll need to phone ahead and there's no guarantee.
