Platt's Puppy Paddock

A small grass field near Llanfairfechan where dogs get proper mad in the best possible way. That's Platt's Puppy Paddock - nothing fancy, just a dedicated space where your pooch can run about without a lead and burn off whatever energy they've been storing up since breakfast.

If you're staying at Plas Yn Llangoed or anywhere else on Anglesey with a dog in tow, this is genuinely worth knowing about. The paddock gives your four-legged mate a proper release valve after a few hours cooped up in a caravan or cottage. Other dogs usually about too, so there's the whole social element if your dog's the type that enjoys that sort of thing.

It's not somewhere you'll spend hours - half an hour maximum while the dogs have a play - but it's the kind of spot that makes a real difference to a family break with pets. No mucking about with leads down country lanes, no worrying whether you're allowed off-lead here or there. Just space and freedom.

Nearest proper amenities are back in Llanfairfechan itself, so don't expect cafes or facilities at the paddock. Go early morning or late afternoon if you want quieter sessions.
