Phoenix Park sits just outside Rotherham as a proper local spot rather than a tourist showstopper. The park itself is straightforward: decent paths, a decent pond, and enough trees to feel like you've stepped away from the town. On a clear day it's pleasant enough for a wander, though I won't pretend the views will stop you in your tracks. If the weather's kind, you can easily spend an hour or two here without feeling like you're wasting time.

It works best for families with young kids who just need space to run around, or for anyone after a quick leg-stretcher between other commitments. Walkers will find it manageable but unremarkable - you won't exhaust yourself, and that's the point really.
