A proper local spot just outside Wisbech, Petts Close Park is the kind of place you'd walk past without noticing if you weren't looking for it - which is precisely why it's worth stopping by. It's a modest green space with the feel of a neighbourhood park that actually gets used by people rather than photographed for Instagram. You'll find decent walking paths, open grass, and enough tree cover to make it pleasant on a bright day without being overwhelming.

The appeal here is straightforward: if you're based at one of the nearby holiday parks - Glamping with Llamas is practically on your doorstep at less than a mile away, or the better-rated Parklands and Westerby Farm options a bit further out - this works as a gentle morning walk or somewhere to let the kids run about without traipsing into Wisbech proper. It's not going to take more than an hour unless you're moving at a snail's pace, and there's no admission charge that I'm aware of, though facilities aren't extensive.

Families with young children will get the most from it, particularly if they're based at the glamping spots with llamas - the novelty of the farm animals elsewhere will keep them entertained enough for a neighbouring walk. Walkers after something more ambitious should push further afield; this is pleasant padding between attractions rather than a destination in itself. Worth the detour if you're in the area and need a break from the caravan, but don't reroute your holiday to visit.
