About Paradise
You get decent woodland trails here, nothing too strenuous, and the forest floor's carpet of leaves and undergrowth means there's always something to look at if you're into that sort of thing. Birdwatchers do well out of it. Kids won't be bored for an hour or so, especially if they're the type to hunt for insects and branches rather than demand ice cream every five minutes. It's the kind of place you walk, think a bit, maybe spot a jay or a woodpecker if you're lucky.
Time your visit for autumn and the colours are genuinely worth the trip. Spring's decent too. Muddy in winter, as you'd expect. There's no café or facilities that I could find, so bring a flask if you're staying a while.
If you're based at High Farm Holiday Park or Burton Constable just down the road, Paradise makes a natural morning or afternoon break from holiday park life. Not a full-day destination, but a proper gem for woodland walks without the theme park nonsense that comes with some attractions.
