Owsen Hill

The walk up Owsen Hill rewards you with proper views across the Stirling area - nothing dramatic, but on a clear day you can see why people make the effort. It's a straightforward climb from the Glasgow side, taking the best part of an hour depending on your pace and how often you stop to catch your breath.

This isn't a mountain. What you're really after is the vantage point at the top - the Lowlands spread out around you, and on a good day the perspective on Stirling's position between the high ground makes sense in a way maps never quite manage.
