The Old Loughor Bridge Segment stands as a proper piece of industrial archaeology - these weathered pillars carried traffic for centuries before the modern road bridge took over.

Built in the 13th century and rebuilt several times, this bridge was crucial for trade and travel between Carmarthenshire and what's now Swansea. The surviving section gives you a real sense of how substantial the original structure must have been.

It's more of a quick stop than a destination - you can see everything in fifteen minutes from the roadside near Llanelli. The view's decent enough, especially if you're into old stonework and river crossings. Kids might find it a bit dull unless they're the castle-obsessed type.
