Nunnery Wood

Worcestershire's Nunnery Wood is a proper woodland walk just outside Worcester, and it's the sort of place that reminds you why the English countryside needs protecting. The forest itself is nothing fancy - mixed deciduous woodland with decent paths threading through, some of which get boggy if there's been rain. Free access, as far as anyone knows - it's public woodland. No visitor centre, no facilities to speak of. That's not a failing, it's just what it is. If you're based at one of the local caravan parks like Ketch or Worcester Glamping, this makes a solid half-day outing. Pair it with a walk along the Severn or a proper pint back in Worcester town centre, and you've got yourself a decent day. Not Instagram-famous, but real.
