North Landing

The views back towards Flamborough Head are worth the journey alone.

You can stand at the top of the cliffs for free - no gates, no admission - and watch the light change across the water. On a clear day you see right along the coast. On a grey day it's moody and atmospheric, which honestly suits it better.

It works well as a stop between the holiday parks near Bridlington - Haven Thornwick Bay is less than a mile away, making this a natural add-on to a caravan break. Allow an hour if you're just taking in the views from above, two hours if you're exploring the beach properly. Go midweek in shoulder season for the best experience; weekends in summer get rammed with day-trippers.
