Newton Hill

The walk up Newton Hill rewards you with proper panoramic views across Aberdeenshire and out towards the North Sea - on a clear day you can see for miles. It's a straightforward climb from near Arbroath, nothing too punishing, and takes about an hour round trip depending on your pace and how often you stop to catch your breath or snap photos.

Once you're up there, the cairn marks the summit and the vistas are genuinely good.
