There's a proper working farm field just outside Uttoxeter where dogs get to run about without restriction, and honestly, it's exactly what most pet owners are after when they've got a caravan parked up nearby. Newlands is straightforward stuff - open grassland where your dog can finally burn off some energy after a morning cooped up in the van. The field is genuinely spacious, which makes a difference; your spaniel won't spend the whole time dodging other dogs or getting tangled in leads.

It's free to use, which is the main selling point for anyone staying at Lane Tree Hideaways or Field Head Farm close by - you can nip over for a proper run around without adding to the holiday costs. Allow an hour if you want to make an outing of it, though some folk just pop over for twenty minutes between breakfast and heading into town. The surface is grass and field, so wellies aren't a bad shout if there's been rain.

Obviously this is dog-focused, so families without pets won't find much here. But if you're touring Derbyshire with a working breed or a terrier that needs space, it's worth knowing about. The nearby glamping parks at Ashbourne and Walled Garden Pods are close enough that you could make it part of a wider day out, hitting local walks or market towns afterwards.
