Newbridge Coppice

Walking here feels like stepping back in time. The coppice method of woodland management - cutting trees to encourage new growth - has shaped this landscape for generations, creating the distinctive multi-stemmed trees you'll spot throughout. Bluebells carpet the forest floor in spring, while autumn brings that satisfying crunch of leaves underfoot.

Families with older children who don't mind a bit of mud will love exploring the various trails, though pushchairs might struggle on the less maintained paths. Dog walkers have plenty of space to let their pets roam, and it's quiet enough that you might spot deer if you're lucky.

The woodland makes an excellent counterpoint to a holiday park stay in the area.
