A working mill museum just outside Stoke-on-Trent, Mosty Lea gives you a genuine sense of how Staffordshire's industrial heritage actually functioned. The industrial heritage trail around this part of the Midlands is genuinely underrated. Between the mills, the pottery museums and the waterway heritage, there's proper meat to a week here. Mosty Lea won't blow your mind, but it's an honest, straightforward museum that respects its subject matter and does the job well.
