Moel y Waun

The walk up Moel y Waun from Ruthin takes about forty minutes if you're steady on your feet, and the payoff is genuinely worth the effort. You get proper 360-degree views across the Vale of Clwyd and out towards the Clwydian Range - on a clear day you can see for miles. The summit itself is modest, nothing dramatic, but that's rather the point: it's the kind of peak that rewards you without demanding mountaineering boots or a dawn start.
