Merlin's Meadow Redmarley - Dog Park

If you're staying anywhere near Newent with a dog that's climbing the walls, Merlin's Meadow is a proper lifesaver. It's a dedicated dog park in Redmarley - just a short drive from the caravan sites dotted around the area - where your pooch can actually run about without a lead and burn off some energy.

The meadow itself is open space where dogs genuinely get to be dogs. No pretension, no Instagram-worthy nonsense - just grass, trees, and the chance for your dog to socialise with others without you white-knuckling a lead the entire time. Most days you'll find a mix of breeds and owners who are there for exactly the same reason: a bit of off-lead freedom in a safe space.

Truth is, you won't spend hours here. A good solid half-hour to forty minutes covers it, depending on how much your dog wants to potter about and sniff things. It's ideal if you're based at Pelerine Caravan & Camping Site or Up Sticks Glamping - both within walking distance really - and need a quick outlet for pent-up dog energy. If you've got kids, they'll entertain themselves watching the dogs chase about, though it's not a destination attraction in itself.
