The walk up Marian Ffrith is straightforward enough, but don't expect anything fancy - this is proper hill-walking country, not a manicured tourist trail. The peak itself sits near Rhyl, offering views across the Conwy valley that shift depending on the weather. On a clear day you can see for miles; on a drizzly afternoon it's just another Welsh hilltop. The climb takes roughly an hour from the road, gaining steady height through moorland and grass. It's the sort of walk that appeals more to serious walkers than families after a quick stroll, though teenagers who don't mind a bit of exertion will be fine with it.

What makes it worth doing is the solitude. You won't find crowds here, which can't be said for Snowdon or Pen-y-ghent.
