Lower Ladypark Wood feels properly wild - the kind of place where deer tracks crisscross muddy paths and fallen logs make perfect picnic spots for families willing to venture off the beaten track.

Walkers will find the terrain satisfying without being taxing, though wellies are essential after rain. The canopy creates a lovely cathedral effect, particularly stunning in autumn when the light filters through copper and gold leaves.
