Long Coppice Hill

The walk up Long Coppice Hill rewards you with proper views across the Worcestershire countryside - the kind of spot where you can actually see what you've climbed for. It's not a dramatic peak, but it's a decent pull from Bewdley if you're after an afternoon on your feet without it turning into a full expedition.

You're looking at a straightforward woodland walk that builds gradually through mixed trees. Nothing technical, nothing that'll have you scrambling, just honest terrain. The views from the top open out nicely across the surrounding farmland and forest - worth the effort, though I won't pretend it's going to stop you in your tracks. Families with kids who can manage a couple of hours will find it manageable. Serious hikers might use it as part of a longer route rather than a destination in itself.

Come on a clear day if you can. The mist rolls in thick around Bewdley, and half the appeal is actually seeing where you are. Allow a couple of hours for the round trip if you're not rushing, maybe longer if you want to linger at the top.

If you're staying at one of the local parks - Bank Farm or Wolverley are both within easy reach - this makes a solid half-day walk without having to drive far. Pinewood Retreat Glamping and Hopleys Family Camping are also close enough that you could build it into a broader Wyre Forest explore. It's the sort of walk that fits well with a park-based holiday rather than being a standalone reason to visit the area.
