Long Arm

Long Arm is a modest peak in Bracknell Forest that won't set your pulse racing, but it's a decent spot if you're already in the area. You're looking at a straightforward woodland walk with a bit of elevation gain - nothing that'll leave you gasping, but enough to feel like you've actually done something.

The main draw is getting out among the trees and grabbing a view across the forest, assuming you catch a clear day. It's the sort of place that appeals to walkers who want a leg-stretch without committing to a full day out, and families with younger kids will manage it without complaint. Older children might find it a touch dull unless they're really into their countryside rambles.

There's no visitor infrastructure to speak of - you'll want proper walking shoes and a map because signage is sparse. Allow yourself an hour or so, give or take depending on pace and how much you faff about at the top. It won't cost you anything to walk it.

If you're based at one of the caravan parks near Chertsey - and several sit within easy reach, from Chertsey Caravan Park at just over 3 miles away to Weybridge Park Estates further out - Long Arm makes a reasonable morning outing. It's not a destination in itself, more a nice break from the caravan. The Bracknell Forest area has plenty of similar walks, so you could string a few together if you're staying put for a week.
