Finding Llawryglyn chapel means venturing into proper mid-Wales countryside, a few miles outside Llanidloes where the valleys narrow and you start to feel genuinely remote. It's a small, rural chapel - the kind of place that stops you mid-walk because you weren't expecting something so quietly significant tucked away in the hills.
