Llawhaden Green

The green itself is a proper slice of rural Pembrokeshire - open grassland that sits quietly between Narberth and the wilder countryside beyond. It's a nature reserve, so you're here to walk, watch for birds, and generally breathe in some Welsh air rather than tick off a major attraction. The landscape rolls gently, and on a clear day you get decent views across the surrounding farmland. Most people spend forty minutes to an hour here, maybe longer if you're keen on spotting whatever's nesting or migrating through. Walkers and birdwatchers will get more from it than families with restless kids, though it's a decent pit-stop if you're moving between other spots.

From Narberth you're only a few minutes' drive away, which makes it a logical add-on to a wider Pembrokeshire trip rather than a destination in itself. If you're camping at Quarry Park or Bluestone Resort - both within a couple of miles - this works as a morning walk before you head to the coast or tackle somewhere with more going on. It's free and unfenced, so you can turn up whenever suits you. The ground can get boggy after rain, so proper boots are worth bringing. Don't expect interpretation boards or facilities; this is pure countryside. Worth the detour if you're in the area and fancy a breather from busier attractions, but it won't justify a special journey on its own.
