Little Gaddesden Church

The 12th-century church sits quietly in the village of Little Gaddesden, a few miles east of Hemel Hempstead, looking much as it must have done for the better part of a millennium. If you're camping at Highridge Farm or one of the other sites within a few miles, it's well worth the short drive. The real appeal is the ordinariness of it all - a working village church that hasn't been flattened into heritage-attraction polish.
