Largiemore Dun

On a hillside above Tarbert sits Largiemore Dun, a stone fort that's been commanding these Argyll views since Iron Age times. It's not much to look at from the road - just a grassy mound with some tumbled stonework - but walk up there and you'll understand why someone picked this spot two thousand years ago. The ramparts are still visible if you know where to look, and the views across the loch justify the short scramble alone.
