Ladies Window arch

The walk out to Ladies Window takes you along a proper clifftop path with the sea crashing below - it's the sort of place where you understand why Cornish coastal paths have such a following. Once you reach the arch itself, you're standing beneath a natural limestone formation that frames the ocean beyond, and it does look rather special in the right light.

This is fundamentally a walkers' spot. You're not going to spend hours here - ten minutes to gaze at the view, take photos, maybe sit with a flask if the weather's cooperative - but it's worth the leg work from Bodmin way. The path can be muddy after rain and it's not exactly a stroll, so decent footwear matters. Not one for very small children unless you're confident with them on uneven ground near cliff edges.

The real appeal is that it sits in proper walking country. If you're staying at Rosebud Farm or Pencuke Farm - both excellent if you want peaceful base camps - you can easily string this together with other coastal walks in the area rather than treating it as a standalone trip. Go when the sea state's decent and visibility's reasonable; a grey day robs the arch of most of its drama.

Free to access, naturally. Allow 90 minutes round trip if you're not rushing, longer if you're exploring the wider clifftop. It's the sort of Cornish viewpoint that rewards being there rather than just passing through.
