This isn't the sort of place that'll take hours unless you're genuinely into contemporary art or local craft work. Most visitors spend 45 minutes to an hour browsing, maybe picking up a piece of jewellery or a small print. The real draw is that it's free to wander in, which makes it a decent rainy-day option if you're based at one of the nearby caravan parks around Chertsey or Laleham.

If you're staying at Penton Park or Weybridge Park Estates, it's close enough for a morning outing before heading elsewhere. Worth combining with a walk along the Thames towpath or lunch in Staines rather than treating it as a destination in itself. Kids might get restless unless they're into art already - it's not interactive or particularly colourful.
