The KC Stadium in Hull is home to the city's football club, and the education centre here gives you proper behind-the-scenes access that goes well beyond the usual tour. You walk through the player tunnels, stand in the dugouts, and get a real sense of what match day feels like from the inside. The stadium itself is modern and well-maintained, with views across the pitch from the upper levels that are genuinely impressive on a clear day.

It's brilliant for anyone with even a passing interest in football or sports in general. Kids get a real kick out of walking where the players walk, and the guides know their stuff - they'll talk you through the club's history and the building itself without it ever feeling like a school trip. Allow a good couple of hours if you want to take it all in properly, though an hour will do if you're just after the quick hit.

Beverley is only a few miles away, so you could easily combine this with a wander around the town's Georgian streets and the Minster. If you're camping at Manor Farm or Butt Farm - both solid bases in the area - you're well-positioned for a day that mixes football with exploring East Yorkshire properly. The centre isn't going to hold most people's attention for a full day on its own, but as part of a longer trip to the region, it's worth the detour.
