Jump in the Box

A trampoline park just outside Waltham Cross that lives up to its name - basically a warehouse full of interconnected trampolines where you bounce about like an overgrown kid. It's straightforward fun: you pay your entry fee, put on grip socks (or buy them there), and spend however long you want launching yourself into the air and landing on foam pits.

Kids absolutely love it, particularly the 5-12 crowd who have the coordination to actually stay on the things. Teenagers find it decent enough, and honestly, adults enjoy it more than they'd admit - there's something about defying gravity that gets everyone grinning. The dodgeball courts and basketball hoops add a bit of variety if plain bouncing gets old after twenty minutes.

It's the sort of place you'd slot into a rainy afternoon during a park holiday, not something you'd plan a day around. If you're based at Fowley Mead Park or Theobalds Park nearby, it's worth knowing about as a weather backup. Allow about 90 minutes if you want to actually tire the kids out rather than just keeping them occupied for half an hour.

One thing worth checking - opening hours and admission prices aren't widely published online, so ring ahead before you go. Nothing worse than turning up with excited children only to find it's closed for a private event or the prices are steeper than expected.
