The JobServe Community Stadium sits on the edge of Colchester, home to Colchester United FC. If you're staying at one of the nearby parks - Colchester Country Park is closest at just 2.6 miles away - and fancy catching a match, it's a straightforward trip into town.

It's a proper community ground rather than a vast cathedral of football. You'll see lower league action here, which means the atmosphere tends to be more personal, less corporate. Families with kids often find it more accessible than bigger stadiums; the noise levels are manageable and you're never too far from the action. Match days are the obvious draw, though the ground itself isn't a tourist attraction in the way a historic pavilion or famous old ground might be.

Admission depends on fixtures and the visiting team, so you'll need to check their schedule ahead of time. On non-match days, there's not much reason to visit. Colchester itself has plenty else going on - the castle, the high street, decent restaurants - so if you're camping at Ardleigh or Rushbanks Farm, you could combine a stadium visit with proper exploring of the town.
