JMTechnical Group near Wisbech is a bit of an oddity on the Cambridgeshire map - more specialist operation than traditional theme park, really. It's geared toward anyone with a genuine interest in engineering, mechanics, or industrial heritage rather than the screaming-on-rides crowd. You'll spend time looking at technical exhibits and machinery demonstrations, which works brilliantly if you've got teenagers who actually care about how things work or adults who fancy something different from the fairground circuit.

The setting itself is functional rather than fancy - this isn't about elaborate theming. What matters here is the content, and if engineering fascinates you, you'll find it worth your time. Allow a couple of hours minimum, longer if you're the type to read every placard and chat with staff about the exhibits.

Timing-wise, weekday visits tend to be quieter, which means better access to demonstrations if they're running. The admission side is still a bit unclear from their end, so ring ahead before you go - it'll save you a wasted trip.

It pairs well with the glamping spots dotted round the area. Glamping with Llamas is just 1.6 miles away and genuinely excellent if you want something more interesting than a standard caravan park. Westerby Farm and Parklands Holidays are both strong options too if you'd rather stay closer to Wisbech proper. Combine this with the Fens' quieter attractions and you've got a proper low-key break, not a typical holiday park resort experience.
