A sliver of woodland and grassland squeezed between roads on the outskirts of Dunoon, Innes Park Road Triangle is exactly what it sounds like - more triangle than sprawling reserve, but it does the job if you're after a quick breath of greenery. The paths are straightforward, the undergrowth manageable, and you'll find the usual suspects: birch, oak, and whatever birds have bothered to turn up that morning.

It's honest work for a local nature reserve. Don't expect dramatic vistas or rare species sightings, but it's perfectly decent for a 20-minute wander with kids who need to burn off energy without you having to drive anywhere far. The reserve sits just outside Dunoon itself, so it's accessible even when the weather's turned a bit grim. Walkers heading toward the Cowal Peninsula might dip in on the way through, though you'll want something more substantial for a proper afternoon out.
