Holt House Playing Fields

The playing fields at Holt House, just outside Colne, are less about manicured sports pitches and more about genuine grassland and open space - the kind of place where local walkers actually go rather than tourists with guidebooks. It's a proper nature reserve that serves the community well, offering decent views across the Pennine foothills and a straightforward route for anyone after an hour's walk without the crowds.
