The stadium itself is functional rather than fancy. You're looking at a modest ground with uncovered terracing on most sides, which means you'll need to check the weather forecast before you go. On a clear day there are decent views across the Pennines, and the atmosphere during a match is genuinely friendly - no corporate nonsense, just people who love their football. Match days pull in a loyal local crowd, sometimes bolstered by fans making the trip from further afield.

Camping nearby at Shay Gate Farm or Trawden Forest Glamping puts you within spitting distance if you're timing a visit around a fixture. The area's got proper walking country on the doorstep - Pendle Hill isn't far, and you've got moorland all around. That said, don't come to Colne specifically for the stadium unless there's a match on. It's not a tourist attraction in the traditional sense.
