The Iron Age fort at Hogmoor Inclosure sits tucked into Hampshire woodland between Alton and Bentley, and it's one of those places where you actually feel something shift underfoot. This isn't a manicured tourist spot - it's a proper walk-in discovery, with ramparts and ditches still clearly visible beneath the trees after more than two thousand years.

You're looking at defensive earthworks that would have housed a community, though honestly the landscape does most of the storytelling. The surrounding woodland makes it atmospheric without trying too hard.
