HM Submarine "Affray"

The wreck of HMS Affray lies on the seabed off Lee-on-the-Solent, a sobering memorial to one of Britain's worst submarine disasters. In April 1951, this T-class submarine sank with all 75 crew members aboard during what should have been a routine training exercise. You won't be diving down to see it yourself - the wreck sits too deep and the site is protected - but the story is told through the small but moving memorial on shore and various maritime museums in the area that document what happened that day.
