Heacham Methodist Church

A Victorian-era Methodist chapel sitting quietly on Heacham's main drag, just east of King's Lynn. The red brick exterior is handsome enough, though nothing that'll stop you dead in your tracks. Inside, it's the usual Methodist setup - high ceilings, simple furnishings, that particular smell of old hymn books and beeswax polish that every church of this vintage seems to have.

Most people won't make a special trip here, and that's fair. It works best as a quick stop-off if you're already exploring Heacham village - perhaps after a stroll along the beach or a visit to one of the holiday parks nearby. Parkdean Resorts Heacham Beach Holiday Park sits less than a mile away, and if you're staying there with kids, the church offers maybe ten minutes of interest at best. The real appeal is architectural - it's a proper example of Victorian Nonconformist building, and if you're into that sort of thing, worth a look.
