It's not a theme park or manicured attraction - think more open farmland where you can actually see what Norfolk farming looks like, complete with livestock and seasonal crops stretching across the horizon.

The appeal lies in its authenticity. If you're staying at one of the nearby holiday parks - Heacham Beach is barely over a mile away - this is the kind of place that breaks up a caravan week without requiring an admission fee or advance booking. You get the sense of rural Norfolk without the twee factor. Families with older kids who aren't after fairground rides will find something genuine here. Younger ones might lose interest fairly quickly unless they're genuinely keen on spotting animals or understanding where food comes from.

Walking is the main activity. The farm's open enough that you can wander without feeling boxed in, and if the weather cooperates, the big Norfolk skies make it worth the trip alone. There's no café or facilities to speak of, so come prepared - bring water, especially in summer.

Timing-wise, a couple of hours is realistic. Go mid-morning or late afternoon when light's best and the farm's quieter. It works well as a half-day venture from Manor Park or Searles Leisure Resort nearby, giving you that genuine countryside experience without the drive into the depths of the county. Proper Norfolk, not the postcard version.
