The hall itself isn't open to the public in the traditional sense, so you're looking at exterior appreciation rather than a guided tour through period rooms.

That said, it's worth a detour if you're walking in the area or staying nearby at somewhere like The Secret Garden Glamping, which is only five miles away. The building's architectural merit rewards a proper look - the stonework and proportions are genuinely impressive when you get up close. It's the sort of place that works best as part of a wider amble through the Leyland area rather than a standalone destination.

Visit during daylight hours obviously, and don't expect crowds. You won't find gift shops or facilities here - this is about appreciating a piece of Lancashire's industrial heritage from the outside. Half an hour maximum, really, unless you're particularly into Victorian architecture. History enthusiasts will appreciate its place in the region's story; families with fidgety kids might find it a bit static. Worth knowing about though, especially if you're camping or glamping locally and want to fill an afternoon with something a bit different from the usual park circuit.
