It's the kind of place that rewards a decent handicap rather than casual hitters; the layout demands respect and the Sussex terrain keeps things interesting without being brutal. Allow a full day if you're playing the whole course, though a nine-hole round takes about two hours. The downside is that unless you're genuinely keen on golf, you'll find little else to do here. It's not a walk-around-and-have-a-look kind of attraction. For families camping at Fox Wood or Onslow Caravan Park just down the road, this only works if someone in the group actually wants to play.
