Grange Meadow Dog Walking Field

If you're staying at Norfolk Woods Resort & Spa and your dog's starting to climb the walls after a day in the caravan, Grange Meadow is basically on your doorstep. It's a proper open field east of King's Lynn where dogs can run about without leads, which sounds simple but is genuinely what you need when you've got a spaniel going mad for exercise.

There's not much to it, to be honest. It's a field. A decent-sized one, flat and reasonably well-maintained, and that's the whole appeal. No fancy facilities, no cafe, no play equipment for the kids - it exists for one reason: to let your dog burn off some energy. On a decent day you'll see a handful of other walkers and their pooches, all with the same idea.

You won't need more than an hour here unless you've got multiple dogs or genuinely enjoy standing about in an open field. It works best in the morning before it gets too hot, and after rain it can get a bit boggy so watch your footwear. Admission's free and there's usually some parking nearby.

For a longer day out, it pairs well with a walk into King's Lynn itself - the town centre's walkable and has decent pubs if you fancy leaving the dog tied up outside for a pint. If you're basing yourself at Breckland Meadows further out, it's a bit of a drive, so not really worth it as a standalone trip. But if you're at Norfolk Woods? Absolutely worth the ten-minute walk.
