Golden Hill

Golden Hill isn't what you'd call dramatic - it's a modest rise near Daventry that gives you a proper sense of achievement without requiring fell-walking boots or mountain climbing experience. The views across Northamptonshire's rolling countryside are genuine, though, and on a clear day you get real perspective on how the landscape rolls away toward the horizon.

If you're after serious peak baggage or Instagram drama, give it a miss. But if you want a straightforward country walk with a real payoff and you're already in the area with kids or older relatives, Golden Hill delivers exactly what it promises. Real Northamptonshire, no frills.
