Galabank Stadium sits on the edge of Lockerbie, home to Queen of the South Football Club. If you're camping nearby at Queensberry Bay or Hoddom Castle, it's worth knowing what's there - though whether you'll actually want to spend time inside depends entirely on whether there's a match on.

The ground itself is functional rather than fancy. Red seats, proper football pitch, the sort of stadium you'd find at any Scottish league club. On matchdays the atmosphere can be decent enough, with local supporters creating a proper buzz. On non-match days? You're looking at a quiet, locked-up venue. There's no museum, no stadium tours that we're aware of, no reason to turn up on a Tuesday afternoon expecting something to do.

Families with football-mad kids will get a kick out of catching a Queen of the South match if the timing works out. It's the kind of experience that matters more to them than to adults - proper professional football at a scale where you can actually see what's happening. Everyone else might find their time better spent walking the Annandale Way or exploring Lockerbie itself.
